Svanhults Sörgård is a sheep farm, situated in the vicinity of various activities such as trolling in Vättern, gold hunting at the Karlsborg fortress, and guided tours of Tiveden’s National Park (for those who do not prefer to explore the park on their own).
If you want to experience the Göta canal, you can go on a bicycle ride along Sweden’s “blue ribbon”, as the canal is called, or take a trip on one of the passenger boats. There is also the possibility of going on a boat trip with Sweden’s only remaining paddle steamer, Eric Nordewall II. For those who like shopping, there are shopping malls located in the towns of Skövde, Örebro or Jönköping, all within easy driving distance. Horse riding on Icelandic horses is another possibility, or a game of golf, mushroom picking or going for a relaxing walk. Should you feel lika taking a walk in the forest, you need only open the door and step right outside into the wilderness, in order to enjoy the prevailing peacefulness and silence.
Spring with its incipient verdure, its flocks of cranes and other migratory birds, autumn with its clear air and starry evening skies, summer with its beautiful sunsets over lake Unden – you can experience all of this at Svanhult Sörgård.
